We’ve talked about gratitude before, and why it’s so important not just to show your appreciation to those around you but for your own mental health and well-being. While it’s important every day, it’s no surprise that it becomes top of mind in the United States this time of year with Thanksgiving around the corner and all.
This year, I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with and for brands like (in no particular order) Beretta, POM Industries, InRange TV, RECOIL, Grayguns, PHLster, Henry Holsters, Dark Star Gear, Streamlight, Penn Tactical Solutions, and Shooting Illustrated, plus a few others I can’t mention yet or may have inadvertently failed to list because I’ve been fortunate to have so much industry support, who have brought me not only excellent products and interesting work, but also wonderful friends and colleagues. I’m thankful for having had the opportunity to train in 2021 with Two Pillars Training (John Hearne); Condition Orange Preparedness (Brenda Peterson); Craig Douglas, Cecil Burch, and others of Shivworks, Citizens Defense Research (John Johnston, Melody Lauer, and Chris Cypert), Fireline Training Center (Brandon Powers, who is also my strength and conditioning coach), and Precision Jiu-Jitsu (Rob Scheier and the rest of the crew). But most of all, I’m thankful for you, who are on this journey with me to survive and thrive as women, when we are on our own, and who are inspired to work on getting ourselves together while accepting the messiness around the edges.
Who and what are you thankful for?
