Good morning, folks! It’s 4:47am local time and I’m sitting at the gate at my airport, waiting to board my flight to Houston. From there, I’ll be whisked off to Rocky Creek Retrievers, where I will be spending the week learning how to hunt waterfowl with Shoot Like A Girl and Beretta! As I mentioned a week and a half ago, I’m super excited to have been invited because while I’ve wanted to get into hunting, there’s so much to learn and I wasn’t sure where to get started.
Today, day one, I’ll be getting geared up. Then we’ll have an opportunity to brush up on our shotgun skills with the lovely and talented Diane Sorantino, who’s on this early flight with me here (with masks right back on, of course). And THEN, we’ll get to meet some of the dogs that will be helping us out in the field. Stick with me all week and hear about my journey!
